The New York Botanical Garden created its own rendition of Claude Monet’s garden at his residence in Giverny, France.
I’ve never been to Giverny; so I loved visiting the New York City version. Quotes from Monet are interspersed among the colorful displays and poems by French poets line the walkways.
Inside the Conservatory:
The NYBG painted its benches this green color, a shade created by Monet, (Monet verde), that he used on the shutters of his house at Giverny.
My last visit to the NY Botanical Garden brought me to Spain. How wonderful to travel to Europe by going to New York City!
I have a book of Monet,s Garden designs. Look at it on your next visit. Be fun to incorporate some of these designs in your needle work. Love Mom.

So beautiful. I saw a Monet exhibit at my local museum of art many years ago and it was beautiful. Reminds me so much of the Botanic Gardens we go to. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! We like the Brooklyn one too and sometimes have done both on the same day- but that is tough with traffic.
